William Logan Harris
Here is a picture of my father, William Logan Harris.
This was taken when he was in the CCCs (Civilian Conservation Corps) during the Great Depression.
I'm not sure what year this is from. I have to find out.
Thanks for all your prayers; he is a born again Baptist, and I know he appreciates it.
He will be 86 in October.

The Guest House
I found this poem by Rumi that I wanted to share with you.
It's called "The Guest House" it's from the book Essential Rumi
and was translated by Coleman Barks.
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you outfor some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
